Susan Creek Waterfalls
found off the Rogue Umpqua Scenic Byway

Susan Creek Waterfalls in the Susan Creek Recreation Area is but one of many falls on the North Umpqua River. Just beyond the 28 mile marker heading east on the Rogue Umpqua Scenic Byway, Hwy 138.

The recreation area offers a Day Use Area for Picnicking, a very nice BLM Campground on the Umpqua River and hiking trails to Susan Creek Waterfalls, an easy hike of .8 mile that is wheelchair accessible, as well as a hiking trail beyond the waterfalls that leads to the Susan Creek Indian Mounds where native American boys, seeking guidance for manhood, waited for inspiration from guardian spirits. This trail is more difficult, and not wheelchair accessible.
