... & stories from our past whisper in NoWhere ... Nightfall was setting on and we passed this cabin ... in the morning we stopped for a better look ...
Now that these pages are coming to life under my fingertips, I wish I had taken so many other and different photographs. One of missing photographs I hope to find waiting for me in Forks of the Salmon when I return. It's of someone's home, if I remember correctly, an old mobile home. That's not the interesting part. No, what captured my attention then, and also brought a chuckle, was the parking meter in front, and then the orange road construction cones placed in front of that. I feel that no photograph I could have taken or will take in the future could better exhibit the spirit of life and those who choose to live in these rugged mountains, along the wild and beautiful scenic Salmon River, no matter which fork I'm falling, no matter the gorge.
One thing bears remarking right along here, people take the concept private property very seriously out here. Don't violate it.
