Night was fallling when we arrived in Forks of the Salmon ...

We sat in a little park like area across from the store, which though I've been there more than once, I've never seen opened, under the shelter of the mountains, and just enjoyed the peace. In time we moved on to find our place for camping for the night, saving our visit to the gorge until the next day.

The next morning we returned ...

and the park located just at the edge of town, pictured below, sparkled.
