It's easy to access the upper Rogue River Hiking trail at more than one point along the Rogue Umpqua Scenic Byway. If you're driving along, keep a lookout, park the car when it's feasible and get out and walk. Brad and I have walked many segments of the upper Rogue River hiking trail, but we've also done just what I've described. Many beautiful views can be had doing just this.
